Neo Study App is a mastery tool designed to help students master the English language. Here are some tips to help you use the app effectively:
1. Use Google Chrome: The app works best with Google Chrome. If you try to use another browser, you will be prompted to switch to Chrome.
2. Use a headset and microphone: For the best experience, use a headset and microphone. This will help the app pick up your voice without background noise.
3. Complete lessons: If you stop mid-lesson and leave the app before the green bar at the top of the screen reaches the end, you will have to start the lesson from the beginning when you return.
4. Preview section: During the preview section, the app will go over the subject of the lesson and you will have a comprehension check at the end of the preview.
5. Repeat section: In this section, you will listen to each sentence and have the opportunity to repeat it for points. You gain points by listening to each sentence at least once after hearing it.
6. Record section: In this section, you will listen to sentences and then record your own voice. You can re-record your voice and listen to the sentence again to gain more points.
7. Speaking section: In this section, you will listen to a sentence and then record your voice to gain points. The app will show you what words you may need to work on.
8. Review section: In the review section, you will put into practice all of the things you have learned during the lesson thus far. To move on to the next sentence, simply stop pressing the repeat button or record button for 5 seconds.

Please remember that this is a mastery tool so it may feel as though students are repeating lessons. The reason for repeating certain content is so that students can master the English Language. If students are gaining points, they are moving forward.
Students must use Google Chrome while using Neo App. If they attempt to use another browser, they will be asked to switch to Chrome via a pop up:

If students stop mid lesson and leave the app prior to the green bar at the top of the screen reaching the end, when they return to the app they will have to complete the entire lesson from the beginning:
Here is an outline of how the Lessons are structured-
Preview Section
During the preview section, the app will go over the subject of the lesson and students will have a comprehension check at the end of the preview.
During the comprehension check, once students answer a question correctly, they have the option to press the arrow to repeat the answer aloud for more points or simply wait for the app to move on.
Repeat Section
This section is to listen to each sentence with the opportunity after to repeat the sentence for points. Students gain points by listening to each sentence at least once after hearing it. They do not have to repeat sentences, however you do not gain points if you are not pressing the repeat button.
If you use the repeat button twice, then the text button becomes active so that they may click it to read the text of what is being said.
Once you have listened to a sentence as many times as you need, you simply do NOT press the repeat button and it will move on to the next sentence after a few seconds of inactivity.
Once they have completed listening to the sentences provided, students will be asked to complete a comprehension check. Once students answer a question correctly, they have the option to press the arrow to repeat the answer aloud for more points or simply wait for the app to move on.
Record Section
During the record section, students will be asked to listen to sentences and then record their own voice. They can record their voice, and the app will then play back their recording so that they may listen to their pronunciation and enunciation.
They have the option to re-record their voice as well and listen to the sentence again to gain more points.
Once they have recorded their voice, listened, and played back the recording, they may simply wait for a few seconds of inactivity for the app to move on to the next sentence. They do not need to press any buttons to move on.
After recording, they will be asked to complete a comprehension check. Once they answer a question correctly, they have the option to press the arrow to repeat the answer aloud for more points, or simply wait for the app to move on.
Speaking Section
In the speaking section, students will be asked to listen to a sentence, and then record their voice to gain points. They will then be able to see how fluently they were able to speak the sentence as the app shows what words they may need to work on.
At that point, they can choose to re-record for more points or simply wait for the app to move on to the next sentence.
If the student did not pronounce something correctly, the app will ask that they repeat the sentence again so they can still gain some points for effort.
Review section
In the review section, students will be asked to put into practice all of the things they have learned during the lesson thus far.
This mean, they will be listening, repeating, and recording their voice to gain points.
To move on to the next sentence at any time, simply stop pressing the repeat button or record button for 5 seconds and Neo app will move forward to the next sentence.
